She's not a girl who misses much.

So I decided it's time I use this again. I doubt anyone will actually read it, but it's somewhere I can let out my thoughts & whatnot.

Today is Thanksgiving in the United States, a day in which families come together & acknowledge what they are thankful for. So here are ten things I am grateful for (not all in particular order):

01. My family. Sure, we have our disagreements, but which family doesn't? They help take care of me & make sure I am kept safe. I'd be lost without them.
02. My friends. I'll be honest: I'm pretty much a loner. However, the few I do have keep me laughing & smiling, so that keeps me somewhat sane.
03. A roof over my head & warm bed to sleep in. I can't imagine it any other way. Sometimes I forget how truly lucky I am.
04. Food. Not only am I thankful that I acquire plenty enough to live on, but also that I have access to a variety. It's a pleasure.
05. Water. Obviously this is the most important element we can place into our bodies, & I'm so glad I have a clean, plentiful resource of it.
06. A healthy body. Although I do have a few problems, I'm a generally healthy young girl. I plan on doing what I can to keep it this way.
07. The Beatles & music in general. They made me the person I am today, an open-minded individual. They introduced me to the art & beauty of sound.
08. J.K. Rowling & literature. Harry Potter broadened my imagination & got me even more intrigued in reading than I was before.
09. An education. There are aspects of the schooling system I disagree with, but it's still great to have the opportunity to learn.
10. Our brave soldiers. I may be anti-war, but I am 100% pro-soldier. They sacrifice their lives for the luxuries we embrace in everyday life.

Okay, I'm going to add two more:

11. My pets. Yes, they can be pests at times, but I adore them. They provide me with comfort & lift up my spirits when I am feeling blue.
12. The internet. It can be dangerous, but the advantages surpass that. I can communicate with people across the world, find info in mere seconds, & so much more.

Hmm, I believe that covers the most significant ones. Of course there are smaller things, such as shopping. ;P I hope my fellow Americans have a wonderful Thanksgiving with whoever they are celebrating with. Don't stuff your faces too much, haha! As for everyone else, I hope your day goes fine as well. :)
